You might be aware of it’s existence, even if only on a subconscience level. It might even be a scary thought that Software Cults exist or worse that you could be a part of one. Whether it’s political, social, religious or even software related, people tend to cling to their opinions, beliefs no matter how illogical they are at times. Not only that, they sometimes fail to see how annoying or how dangerous being blindly overly passionate coercion of others can be.

Here’s a quick round-up of interesting goings-on in the Metacity and Mutter worlds this week. Sam H wants to implement tabbed windows in the window manager (so that each application would think it had multiple windows open, but the user would see tabs). The responses included “awesome” and “my personal hero”. Sam H plans to work on this on github and merge later. Thomas wrote some basic window matching code . It needs some work.

Garmin-Asus G60, M20 pics surface, Coming to Malaysia in 30 days – pmptoday.com 07/19/2009 It has certainly taken Garmin, now known as Garmin-Asus , a while to make their nuvifone G60 available to the public, but if these new pics are any indication, we might see both the Linux-based G60 and Windows Mobile-powered M20 out in Malaysia pretty soon. Word is that both phone will be available in the country “within 30 days” according to the source of these pics.

It has certainly taken Garmin, now known as Garmin-Asus , a while to make their nuvifone G60 available to the public, but if these new pics are any indication, we might see both the Linux-based G60 and Windows Mobile-powered M20 out in Malaysia pretty soon. Word is that both phone will be available in the country “within 30 days” according to the source of these pics. Likewise, Garmin has also confirmed that these handsets will be available in Singapore in August, with other Asian countries getting theirs sometime in late July.
