Linus Torvalds (pictured) announced Linux kernel 2.6.30, adding several new filesystems, including the NILFS2 log-structured filesystem. Finally got sound working in everything, got it to work in aplay, but wasn’t working in vlc. Might be easier if your not using XFCE, but if your using xfce do the below as root. I really don’t know much about PC’s and so I’m trying to find someone who can help get my hard drive back up and running. I just need the data off that drive . . .
