The UCSF Library is looking for a mid-level Software Engineer to help with ongoing and future technology projects. Our team programs mainly in PHP using the Drupal framework, but we maintain and extend software written in Python and Perl as well. What do we do? Microsoft Corporation has recently launched Windows 7 operating system in India. It is priced at nearly 20% cheaper as compared to the price in US. This step was taken to tackle the ever-growing software piracy in India. It is believed that around 85% of Indians are using the pirated version of Windows operating systems. “Some emerging countries have a differential price, basically to tackle piracy. The new software is being priced one-third lower than Vista in India.

ASUS Eee PC 1005HA-VU1X-WT 10.1-Inch White Netbook – 8.5 Hour Battery Life Review Available at Amazon Check Price Now! I resisted giving it 5 stars because I had upgraded from the Eee PC 701, so my perspective might be skewed. The 1005 is miles ahead of it, between the keyboard size, screen size, processor speed, and hard drive. Yes, it comes with Windows XP, which I was trying to avoid in my next netbook purchase, but one can still dual boot.
