Sometimes certain statistics do not make any sense. For instance does not make any sense for me to pick a Web hosting provider based on which of the companies is the largest. Largest meaning they have the most websites. It may just be that they are good at marketing where they provide an excellent price. They also be that certain people by many sites from them and most people would not buy any. What I really care about is customer service. More often than not I’ll I care about of time

It is very interesting that in the past Web hosting companies, of course this is a very long time ago, only used Windows machines. So you had to look around for the hosting company you wanted to make sure that you could find one that actually had the linux operating system.  nowadays when you use a hosting company such as one of the top ones that are out there, like GoDaddy hosting, they also provide the linux operating system. Most of the time it seems that everything has changed and while they have Windows machines that are typically not the ones people choose.

here are the reasons why Linux is so preferred over Windows. If you want to add a database to your website you can use an open-source one and there are many very popular ones. However if you want to use a database and added to Windows machine you will have to use a Windows database and then you will have to obtain licenses. It is not very easy to figure out what type of licenses you need. They actually make it very difficult to understand and chances are you’re probably overpay believe they matter to you if your bank.this is why most everyone chooses Linux but since in the past it was always Windows they are obviously offered as well.

You may not realize this, but you probably already do, that it doesn’t really matter whether the server with the domain on it is Lenox or Windows. You can go to any registrar and obtain a domain name and it does not matter where your hosting. You can go get a godaddy promo code and obtain a discount on a domain and use it on any server.

In other words the registrar never asks what type of operating system is running on the server. And it does not really matter because the registrar simply point of the name servers in the name servers then determine where to ultimately point that domain. A domain is going to particular IP and it may be a Windows or Linux server. So get a domain, the domain you want, and do not worry about which server or type of servers it’s going to go on.

Whether it be a Windows server or a Lenox server, or renewing a domain, masking a domain or forwarding a domain. you may have been told that does make a difference but clearly it does not so do not worry about it. What does free wordpres have an what does it not have? Let me be clear on what I mean by free and not free. The free version of wordpress is both hosted on their site and not hosted, in that you can download it. However if you go do wordpress and use it hosted on their site I consider that the completely free version. What is the non-free?

The non-free is actually a free download and free to use, however you ned to obtain your own hosting. Get your own hosting to be able to install the full version of wordpress and use godaddy hosting. The differnce is in the functionality and what you have access to. With the free version hosted at wordpress.com it is not fully featured, there are many things you cannot do and many of them are very important. So to take full advantage of wordpress you need to obtain your own hosting and host the downloaded version, install it, yourself. It is definitely worth it and recommended to put it on your own space.

There are many advantages to the domain name system. Obviously having only one unique domain is brilliant. You may have multiple websites on one IP address however there can only be one of each domain.

Just like there can be only one social security number or one address for a house. Ironically the trademark system, the legal system, does not have this advantage.
